A Shishiohime Japanese maple bonsai, Acer palmatum 'Shishiohime,' captivates with its compact and dense foliage of finely serrated leaves, which emerge in shades of pinkish-red in spring and transition to deep green in summer. This bonsai stands proudly in a Yixing painted ceramic pot, often featuring nature scenes or abstract patterns in vibrant colors. 

These cultivars are grafted to Acer Palmatum understock. The graft are low and unnoticeable. They were developed for bonsai purposes, not general gardening - the grafts are perfect. However, if you want the same species without a graft, you can airlayer off the top. We are trying to airlayer a few of them at the nursery. We only have 6 of these available. 

The Shishiohime Japanese maple (Acer palmatum 'Shishiohime') is renowned for several unique features:
